Trivial Solution
The all-zero solution of a homogeneous system
Core Idea
The trivial solution is the solution x = 0 of a homogeneous system Ax = 0. It is always present, so the real question is whether any nonzero solutions also exist.
Role In This Blog
In Mathbong, the trivial solution helps distinguish linear independence from dependence and helps explain why null space matters.
